Mike’s connection to the mobility industry is both professional and personal. His career began in automotive sales as a Sales Representative for KIA, where he steadily worked his way up to management, overseeing Sales, the Internet Department, and Finance operations. Having grown up around the business, his father was in automotive sales since before he was born. Mike developed a deep understanding of the industry from an early age. His passion for customer service and problem solving made him a natural fit for the automotive world, but it wasn’t until he transitioned into the mobility industry where he believes he found his true calling.
That transition came when a contact in the mobility field reached out about an opportunity at a Baltimore mobility dealership, emphasizing how rewarding it was to help individuals regain their independence. Intrigued by the idea of working in a field that combined his expertise in automotive sales with the ability to make a tangible difference in people’s lives, Mike researched the industry and quickly realized how impactful mobility solutions could be. Soon after, he was hired as the General Manager for MobilityWorks of Baltimore, where he found an immediate passion for the work and dedicated himself to learning everything he could to better serve his clients.
To provide the best solutions for his customers, Mike took an active role in expanding his knowledge of the industry. He visited and toured the BraunAbility Manufacturing Plant to gain firsthand insight into mobility vehicle production and completed their certification program to ensure a deep understanding of their products. He also earned NMEDA certifications and continually sought out training from leading adaptive equipment manufacturers such as Bruno, Harmar, Howell-Venture, and more. His commitment to education and staying at the forefront of industry advancements allows him to match each client with the best mobility solution for their unique needs.
While industry knowledge and expertise are critical, Mike believes the most valuable lesson he has learned in the mobility industry is patience. Taking the time to truly understand each customer’s challenges and goals ensures that every recommendation is tailored to provide the best possible outcome. His dedication to education, experience, and customer care drives his mission to help clients regain independence with confidence and ease.
Mike believes that every mobility customer deserves not just a vehicle, but a solution that truly fits their life. Mobility is more than just transportation, it’s about ensuring individuals have the right tools and support to move through life with confidence and ease. Whether it's an individual looking for their first accessible vehicle or a business managing a fleet, Mike takes the time to ensure every customer receives a personalized, stress-free experience. His ultimate goal is for customers to leave feeling excited, empowered, and confident in their decision. A mobility solution should never be a compromise, it should be the perfect blend of functionality, affordability, and comfort that truly enhances the client’s quality of life.
Beyond the sale, Mike sees his role as more than just a consultant, he is an advocate for his customers and the mobility community. He believes in educating clients, ensuring they understand every option available, and working to make the process as seamless and transparent as possible. His mission is to build lasting relationships, where customers know they have a trusted expert to turn to for years to come.
His connection to the mobility community goes beyond just his career. As a teenager, he was struck by a car, leaving him in intensive care for an extended period before being transferred to Kennedy Krieger Children’s Rehabilitation Center. During his time there, he had to relearn and regain the physical ability to walk. Experiencing firsthand the challenges of physical rehabilitation and mobility recovery, he developed a deep appreciation for the importance of patience, perseverance, and having the right support system. All values he now brings into his work every day.
Mike grew up in Pasadena, MD, where he met his wife when they were kids. Now married with three beautiful daughters, family is at the heart of everything he does. Being a father has shaped his work ethic and drive, pushing him to always do better for his family while also teaching him the patience and understanding that come with raising three little girls. When he’s not working, he and his family spend most of their time traveling for All-Star Cheerleading competitions, supporting his daughters as they pursue their passion. Outside of cheer, the O’Meara family enjoys traveling and camping together, making the most of their time outdoors. Their adventures wouldn’t be complete without their two little puppies, Autumn and Winter, and their one-eyed parrot, Pi, who always keeps things interesting.
Mike believes that the lessons he’s learned through both family life and his own experiences with mobility challenges, dedication, patience, and always striving to do better will carry over into his work in the mobility industry. Whether at home or at work, his mission is to support and uplift those around him, ensuring that every client and colleague feels valued and heard.
