Jerry’s Mobility Wheelchair vehicles are designed to handle almost any wheelchair or need. Each accessible vehicle is standardly equipped with manual ratcheting wheelchair restraints, designed for power manual and electric wheelchairs.
If you are interested in further customizing your Jerry’s Mobility vehicle to fit your needs, we offer a wide variety of additional wheelchair securement devices. We will be happy to fit these restraints for you in order to create a solution uniquely your own. These products can be positioned in the driver, front passenger and center positions.
Jerry’s Mobility is proud to offer Unoccupied Wheelchair Restraints (UWR) in lieu of traditional manual and/or automatic wheelchair tie-downs. The UWR will secure your manual chair after transferring to either the driver or front passenger seating positions.
How to Use Wheelchair Restraints
BraunAbility Unoccupied Wheelchair Restraint
The Unoccupied Wheelchair Restraint is the first manual wheelchair restraint to feature a powered release feature that omits unnecessary bolts or pins in your wheelchair. The Unoccupied Wheelchair Restraint fastens your chair safely to the center of the vehicle. From there, the wheelchair remains locked and you are able to move to the driver or passenger seat while your wheelchair remains securely tethered in place.

The HighTower® docking system, designed by B&D Independence was the world’s first side-mounted power wheelchair docking system to completely eliminate ground clearance concerns. Its low-profile securement device easily fastens and is released by the mere push of a button.
